Teal Arrow - Small ISO and Six Sigma: a powerful pair to propel your business

Six Sigma - BSi Many companies see ISO and Six Sigma as two different standards that must compete for scarce resources.

ISO, of course, is a well-established international standard for quality management systems for all kinds of companies in nearly every industry. Six Sigma, meanwhile, is a methodology for process improvement made popular by its adaption at global giants like GE and Motorola.

And yet, taken together, these hallmarks of effective management can make quite an impact on a company's bottom line. While ISO provides the structure for management system requirements, Six Sigma provides the tools for driving process improvement.

We have found in our auditing assignments that the two systems really do marry up and complement each other very well when they both come under a single platform.  Together they use the same pool of resources to add tremendous value to an organization.

That's why we're pleased to offer Six Sigma training along with our extensive ISO training. As we announced in our newsletter last month, Becky Kates is now available to help companies improve productivity and achieve White Belt, Green Belt and Black Belt certifications.

So make ISO and Six Sigma part of your resolution to achieve great results in 2012. Learn more about the benefits of ISO and Six Sigma in our blog.

ISO 9001/14001/18001 Integrated

Advisors In February DŽArdenne Associates is offering a three-day ISO 9001/14001/18001 integrated course that combines relevant components of each (quality, environmental and occupational health & safety) into one coherent system.

Many companies prefer this approach because it helps to balance conflicting objectives due to different management systems in place and it reduces operating costs.

The benefits of an integrated course are numerous:

  • Greater focus on company objectives
  • Clearly defined roles and responsibilities for managing integrated management systems.
  • Reduced documentation
  • Promotion of a single system
  • Removes duplication
  • Easier to manage

Teal Arrow - SmallTestimonial: "diamond in the rough"

We're fortunate to have great clients. From time to time we receive unsolicited testimonials that show how our team really does make a difference. Here's a note to our Sue Snyder from a client in Texas:

I enjoyed the AS9100 lead auditor course you taught in Dallas. Something I learned in the course has come to mind nearly every work day since then and I frequently reference the course materials. I have fond memories of that week. I really like your teaching style and appreciated the participation of fellow students. There are so many educational/training requirements that are goofy and it is PAINFUL to sit through them - this course was definitely a diamond in the rough, largely because of you.
