Roy’s forty-five years of experience includes business ownerships, business sustainability, information security management, environmental management, plant operations management, systems integration, strategic planning, systems design and installation, consulting, project management, P&L analysis, training, certification auditing, and problem resolution in the service, manufacturing, public service, information security and business continuity industries. He served as a US Army officer in Vietnam, and is a RABQSA Certified Skill Examiner as well as a RABQSA, IRCA and BSi certified QMS Lead Auditor and IRCA certified ISMS provisional auditor. Additionally, he is a certified instructor for the entire suite of management system courses for the ISO 9000, ISO 14000, ISO 27000 and BS 25999 schemes, including the RABQSA Lead and Internal Auditor ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 courses, the IRCA certified ISO 27001 Lead Auditor course and the BSi certified BS 25999 Lead Auditor course.
Roy’s systems integration experience involves developing common quality and environmental or medical device platforms that successfully passed certification audits. He is a highly acclaimed trainer for RABQSA Lead Auditor, RABQSA Internal Auditor and IRCA ISMS Lead Auditor courses. His auditing expertise includes third party certification audits for five registrars, baseline assessments (gap analysis), internal audits, external audits and compliance audits. He has worked with 1000+ organizations on some phase of the ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and ISO 27000 implementation process and has working relationships with fifteen registrars. He works in cooperation with the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Economic Development. Businesses have benefited greatly from his skills in creating highly successful quality, information security and integrated management systems and internal auditing processes that contribute heavily to the bottom line, job classification programs, quality and integrated system manuals, flow charts and procedures. His highly successful alliance programs avoid conflict of interest and his wisdom is often requested to help resolve problem situations in the best possible manner. At the request of clients he developed a highly successful Progress Review Retainer process and highly acclaimed courses on management training, implementation, internal auditing, mini auditing and registrar selection. He is frequently published in journals and newsletters and speaks at many meetings on ISO 9000, ISO 14000, ISO 27000 and BS 25999.

Roy has taught over 950 open enrollment and on-site ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and ISO 27000 Lead Auditor, Internal Auditor, executive/management awareness, overview, implementation, documentation, internal auditing, mini-auditing, registrar selection, transition and return on quality workshops/courses. He is a Professional Member of the Institute of Management Consultants and ASQ Chapter 1107 where he is a Senior Member.
Roy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
