Virginia Utility Protection Service

Continuous improvement with ISO

rick-pevarskiThe Virginia Utility Protection Service, commonly called Miss Utility of Virginia, is a not-for-profit organization created by Virginia’s utilities to protect their underground facilities.

That’s a lot of responsibility. So we´re pursuing ISO certification to provide the structure for world-class continual improvement. There is no regulatory or customer requirement driving our certification process. It´s just the right thing to do.

D´Ardenne Associates is a partner in our process, providing technical assistance to achieve ISO compliance, reviewing our existing documentation and procedures, and making recommendations to ensure our documents conform to ISO standards.

Thanks to the expertise and knowledge of the D´Ardenne staff, we’re further along with our policies and procedures than we had originally thought.

And, once we achieve certification, D´Ardenne will provide individual training to our staff on ISO self auditing.

Many companies strive for continuous improvement with many different internal processes and procedures for review. ISO provides an internationally developed structure for this process. And D´Ardenne Associates helps to make it all run smoothly.
